Ruby Wax on 15 October, Halloween films and pumpkin picking, then free pier fireworks at 7.30pm on 5 November. Worthing parkrun is off until 24 October.

This week brings a Highdown Hill lecture tonight, Tuesday 6 October, Jane Eyre at the Connaught and Alan Davies at the Assembly Hall. The Pavilion’s centenary programme fills the rest of the month: Ruby Wax on the 15th and Stewart Lee on the 30th. Halloween brings pumpkin picking at Sompting and horror films at the Connaught. Then come the free fireworks off the end of the pier, confirmed for Thursday 5 November at 7.30pm, and Remembrance Sunday on 8 November.

Updated 6 October: added the London Symphonic Rock Orchestra on 14 November. parkrun still lists Worthing as cancelled on 10 and 17 October, course unsafe or blocked, so the next run is 24 October.

Everything below comes from the organisers’ own listings and was re-read on 6 October 2026: the Worthing Theatres and Museum (WTM) event pages, Worthing FC’s fixture list, Adur & Worthing Councils, Worthing Lions, parkrun, Sompting Pumpkins and Sight Support Worthing. Theatre prices are the lowest ticket WTM publishes, before its transaction fee, which is £1.75 for shows and 75p for films, talks and workshops. For places that are open whatever the date, see things to do in Worthing.
