Lancing’s afternoon timing means you can attend the Worthing service in the morning and still reach Lancing for the parade.
Getting there
Chapel Road runs through the town centre, and the memorial stands in front of the Town Hall. No road closure notice for this year’s service had been published when we checked on 25 September. Any closures will appear on our Worthing roadworks and travel page, and car park prices are on parking in Worthing.
On Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 November buses replace trains between Brighton and Worthing, so the line is shut on Remembrance Sunday itself (National Rail). If you are coming by train from the Brighton side on Remembrance Sunday, allow extra time.
The Poppy Appeal
The councils ask residents to support the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal by buying a poppy, donating or fundraising (Royal British Legion, Poppy Appeal).
Other events that week
Worthing Lions have confirmed their free fireworks display from the end of the pier for Thursday 5 November 2026 at 7.30pm (Worthing Lions); details are on our Worthing fireworks page.
